Colt never got into two-tone production guns.

Colt did make two-tone guns, but most that I've ever seen were 1911 autos, usually blue and stainless, or blue and hard chrome.

Most of the two-tone Colt firearms were Colt Custom Shop limited production guns, particular Colt single actions, usually commemorative models in mixes of blue, case hardened, nickel, and gold.

I've never seen a factory Non-Custom Shop two-tone Colt double action revolver.

It was most likely a one off job done by an outside electro plater for the studio. In the first two seasons of Miami Vice Don Johnson used a Bren Ten that had a stainless frame and hardchromed slide. Dornhuase and Dixon never produced such a version, it was done by a plater for the studio and it made the gun more visible during night shots.
