I just picked up a electroless nickel series 70 Combat Commander for carry. It has it's original "light gold" finish. The sights SUCK with that finish.

Any ideas on the best way to non-permanently blacken the sights so they stay black, but can be reversed without damaging the finish underneath?

I replaced the sights on mine with MMC Combat Sights. They are very easy to pick up.

If I can't get the sights to my satisfaction by blackening, I'm just going to go ahead and work it up. Thanks for the pic.
