The string holding the yellow tag, is much too heavy. Most yellow hang tags had yellow string which was a lighter gauge than this. Box may not be all that is in question.

l do not believe that nickel 22s were offered in the time frame of the old box ,which looks fake. The grips are from a later period and may be sile grips with a silver Colt Medallion. Most of the Diamondback grips were gold . I bought a police trade in 4 inch nickel 38 in the early 90s. It came with similar looking Sile grips with their medallion. I knocked them out and replaced them with nickel Colt medallions, This one doesn't pass the smell test.
