I just purchased an Officers Model Match in 38 Spl. that is single action only. I have read some other threads about the SA option and realize I will need a factory letter to determine if this was done at the factory or by some gunsmith at a later time. My problem is the serial number is in the 925,XXX range (I can look up exact number and shoot pictures if requested).
The only revolvers in that range seem to be the Trooper. Any comments on the high serial number?

The reference booklet I just looked at shows a DOB of 1960. The booklet also notes that the serial numbers are shared with the Trooper.

In previous posts on the SA OMM's, did anyone ever post a picture of the internals of their SA with the sideplate removed?

Yes I think I did post a photo or two of my modified SA OMM with the sideplate off.

Denny, Thanks! Those pictures are excellent. I will take the side plate off of my SA OMM tomorrow and compare its workings to your pictures. Did you ever get a letter from Colt on your SA OMM?
