Here are my guns. I'd have to double check the dates, but the 7.5" gun is from the 1920s (the grips are from a slightly earlier model), and the Heavy Barrel is from about 1940.

I've always thought the 7 1/2" Officer's model was an especially elegant looking Colt. And the grips on yours are a bonus as far as I'm concerned.

What a great thread! I wore out my mouse clicking "like" so much.






A 1957 Officer's Model Match .38 and its nemesis, Smith & Wesson Model 14 K-38 Masterpiece. We're holding a lifetime competition between these two to see which one is the most accurate with carefully prepared .38 Special target loads. Though I generally like Smith & Wesson revolvers just a bit more the Colt OMM has solidly retained it's place at the top to this point.

Cam, does that round butt OM also have a different contour to the trigger or am I seeing things?
