Thanks!

Will Python grips fit these revolvers?

Is is what they call an I frame?

Thanks

I picked up this nice Colt Official Police .38 Special today.

It has a 5 inch barrel.

I've been told it is pre-war gun, made in the 30's.

Can anybody nail it down for me?

I'm pretty impressed with it. The action is tight, the trigger is buttery smooth, with a great SA break.

The bluing is very nice. A deep black with a satin gloss.

I'm a big S&W fan, but this Colt is pretty darned sweet. I love oldies.

YES, it is an "I Frame."

And YES, Python grips wll fit. They are more comfortable for shooting, but I think they look a bit funny on these O.P. guns.
