Does anyone use a headlamp when cleaning their guns. I'm getting to the point where I might need some extra light when getting my guns squeaky clean. What would be a good one at a reasonable price?

Many to choose from. Check these out:

I'd just go to Walmart or another discount store and buy a good high intensity desk light on a long neck.
Another nice type of light is one with a magnifier lens built in.
max226,

I feel your pain..........I have a double 8' fluorescent fixture above my work bench and seven more in my garage. But more and more I use a powerful LED flashlight to aide me with closeup work. I think DFW is on the right track with a fluorescent lamp with a built in magnifier ;^)

Those are nice to have, definitely!

The old Floor Stand Medical ones, similarly.
YES, and I hate it too, but, my eyes are 65 yrs old and I want all the light I can get, LOL!!!!
About a year ago, I bought a two-pack of those LED lights that have elastic head bands. I thought they were goofy, but I was working alone on one of my hobby cars and gave them a try. I figured I could always just toss them if they didn't work out. Well, I found they were great and left both hands free to fumble with whatever widget that needed my total attention.
I was in Home Depot or Lowe's recently. Both stores had a section of hand tools for Christmas stocking stuffing and they had those lights for less than $10, if I remember correctly. I bought another set. Just make sure they have elastic bands that go around and over top of the head.

If it's stupid, but it works, it ain't stupid.

I think I will get some of those and give them a try...

Working on Cars, or under Dashboards or underneath the Car, at Night especially, has always been kind of hassle to have decent-enough Light. This would be great for a lot of that stuff! As well as good for other things too, definitely.

Under Sink-Cabinet Plumbing situations also...

Yup, I will get some and try them out.
