I just got a nice pair of Official Police grips for my Pre War gun. The ones the gun came with were pretty beat up and the ones I had on it were extremely cheap (although they were still wooden). The ones on my 1961 Post War OP feel cheap as well. They are lighter and feel lighter. These ones I just got on E bay for the pre War are MUCH better in quality than any other OP type wooden grip. Why did Colt take down the quality of their grips after the 1940s? These older ones feel better in my hand.
