OPINIONS NEEDED: 3rd Gen Heritage Edition 1860 Army

I've been offered a 3rd Gen. Heritage Edition 1860 Army (Tiffany style) and am seeking opinions. I normally favor 2nd Gen. revolvers, but this one is available. Condition is NIB. Need your opinion of the quality of the revolver, fair price, etc.

I don't see an 1860 Army Heritage Edition, do you mean an 'Heirloom' edition - it has the Tiffany grips? If so, I would definitely venture into the 3rd generation arena. it is a beautiful gun. The price of a recently paid 'Heirloom' cost me $2700. If it is an Heirloom, what is the serial number? Steg was looking for number 9 or 11 or 25 or 27.

As you, I normally don't stray outside of 2nd gens, but the three 3rd gens I recently bought - 1842 Paterson Limited, 1851 Navy 150th Anniversary, and the 1860 Army Heirloom are the best looking guns of my entire collection (though not of the same status as my 1861 Navy SS) - the fit and finish of these three are perfect, and these are the three my wife told me are the 'keepers' in my collection (though she really doesn't have any interest in collecting these things at all). If it is an 'Heirloom', this may be an opportunity for you. If there is such a thing as an 1860 Army Heritage (w/Tiffany grips), please post a picture.

The expert on 3rd generation is probably Steg. He has a copy of each one. He may chime in when he gets back from the CCA show.

The Tiffany gripped Heirloom '61 Armies are phenomenally beautiful!!!! If you can get one in mint unfired condition for under the original $5,000 retail price, grab it and run like hell so you won't have to give it back when the seller finds out he got took.
I own a pair, serial numbers 10 and 26.
Mike, I echo Steg on this. He is normally right on what is an opportunity, or not (though he misspelled '61 Armies, instead of '60 Armies - but that may be due to him still have jet lag from attending the CCA show). What is the serial number on this one and what is his asking price. If you are not interested in pursuing this opportunity, please pass on the seller's name (my 'heirloom' may be looking for a mate). This may be a lifetime opportunity since you can always get a gun made through Adams, but you may not see another 'heirloom' for a long time.
Here is my pair of Heirloom Editions, Serial nos BJ 1 & BJ 2. Obviously special order numbers.

Mike,

It's been a week now. Did you get it? I looked at mine again, today. It is really a beautiful Colt.
