That 1962 lab address is the old location, as well as the old headquarters location - they are both, now, in Building 22, State Campus, Albany NY. They do have satellite labs throughout the state but their main lab is still in the campus complex (as well as the NYSP Academy). By the way, my issue NYST OP was 885575 - your two were close. Recently found this pair of Colt Official Police revolvers. One has a four-inch-barrel, the other a six-inch. Serial numbers are 885861 and 885203. Both were made in 1962. Was interested in the N.Y.S.T. markings on the back strap. I do have a letter on the four-inch pistol. It was sold to the New York State Police, 162 Washington Avenue, Albany, New York. It shipped to the New York State Police, Scientific Laboratory, 8 Nolan Road, Albany, New York, July 27, 1962. Was wondering if any one has information on the Scientific Laboratory?
