I brought home a NIB WIley Clapp SAA which has a 4 3/4 barrel in the 45 ACP in all dome blue finish, in case some are not familiar. I know these are a limited production run that comes in the custom shop box. Does anyone else own one of these ? Opinions on the gun?I will post some photos when I can.

btw.. I know I need wider window sills to get the full effect when photographing revolvers in what can be called "Hopalong format" photography.

Many of us noticed some time ago that Hopalong always got great results when photographing his choice collection in his window sill, which takes advantage of natural light.

I've never had a type of photography named for me. :) by the way, I kind of like the grips (although ivory or stag would look great).

I agree on the grips.. with the all blue finish, stag or ivories is just the belt that matches the shoes so to speak.. IMO. but hey, I can't get that right either some days.
Those USFA Red River John Wayne guns in my USFA collection are all blue.. have the simulated Ivory grips. they have been artificially aged but they are still dark and glossy finished. I can't see putting more money into the gun though, being as its worth the most untouched. I'm really needing (isn't that a funny term.. "needing") a 7.5" barrelled 45LC SAA to complete my SAA collection. I may talk trading or selling if these Wily Clapp grips don't start to grow on me some. I've never been accused of being overly smart in the gun trading business.. so we'll see.

I agree with not putting extra money into your WC. You need something like this...
