Photobucket

I see that Photobucket has finally realized the errors of their ways from screwing all of their previous subscribers last year.

I got an email yesterday offering 3rd party hosting for $99.99 a year...

Too little...Too late... IMHO

I'm using imgbb now...easy to use and free. Photobucket is yesterday's news. That's the beauty of the free market...there's always someone out there hungry for your business when someone there first gets fat and greedy.
LOL $100 a year for a service dozens of others offer for free? I'll still take a hard pass.
I think Photobucket committed suicide when they 'took down' members posting on sites such as Colt Forum.

Some of our most informative stickies have lost the images no thanks to PB.

I think it's that way on many many forums related to different topics.
No thanks Photobucket...:bang_wall:
I guess they "PB" thought we had no other options... I have move on to another free service but for some reason...unlike many others here, my PB pics are still in place...Shhhh :)

Mine, too, and if there's something there I want to post I "save image" it to my computer then retrieve it from there in a second onto my new photo sight. But I'v found a few pics at PB don't show up when you click on them to enlarge and transfer. That "third party" sign shows up. but it's only happened a couple times.
I just spent an hour deleting the few photographs that I had on Photobucket (I have them all on my computer) and deleted my account. First time I've visited the site for a while and it's full of pop-up adverts, which you can dispense with for $2.49 per month!

It is, and plastering that "upgrade your account" picture all over the internet has probably hurt PB's reputation more than anything. If I had to guess, advertisers have taken heed as well. I can see them going back to free hosting within the near future, but it's probably too late.

For those who wish to take Photobucket up their offer should heed the old saying "Screw me once, shame on you...screw me twice, shame on me."

SW, I use ImgBB, too and i have a question about it. When I go to my profile which shows my library, I do not know how to grab them from there to post them in a thread or wherever. I always have to start over transferring it from my computer. How do you do it? I know it's got to be super simple but I haven't figured it. But it IS ultra fast using this site.

I use the drop down menu and go to my albums...then open the photo and copy the embed code. There's probably an easier way but I'm not that literate with the site yet.

Photobucket never more..
I just became a member last week and was going to try to figure out Photobucket... I will check out the ImgBB software-- does this stand for some title? Are there any others members are using that they like... I must admit I'm sort of challenged in this area... thanks for any feedback!
Also consider Imgur, another free site and the images are scrubbed of the embedded data when uploaded to the site.

Best regards,

Speaking of Pb, let's see if it's working at the moment for without paying...
Ok. It worked. now let's see if it stays. They tend to disappear.
