I believe they are for New Service with a round butt such as the shooting master and most 38 special New Service revolvers. I have a pair of pre-war official police wood stocks. The left is excellent but the right side was worn and someone appears to try and recut the checkering by novice means. I am leaving out of town until wendsday and I can then send you a pic if your interested.
Picked up grips at local gun show-too big for my Official Police-for New Service?
They are 3 5/8"high and 2" at the base.
They are checkered but worn with age.
Any help to ID is greatly appreciated.
