I found this very small powder flask and had to have it, I did not know they made them that small, I think they are called: "pocket model eagle flask" I don't even own a 1849 pocket model, but until I find one it will have to hang out with my Colt 1860. I will be looking for a 1849 this weekend at a antique gun show. Thank's for looking. :)

I have always thought the larger cal. like the .44 used the paper wrap'ed cartridge esp. during the civil war [Military] and the powder flask was for the civ. .31 smaller pistol's, even though many of these smaller pistol's were used during that time. I had a beautiful 1849 pocket Colt at one time and traded it off. I guess I'll be looking for another one now.
