While browsing through Gunbroker I came across this item:
Colt Official Police Heavy Barrel : Revolvers at GunBroker.com
I contacted the seller, because of the ramped front sight, thinking it was a post war on a prewar gun. He replied quickly and the barrel has all the prewar features:
"+HEAVY BARREL", patent dates, etc. Was the ramped front sight a special feature that could be ordered on the prewar guns(this one is of 1943 vintage)?
Thanks in advance.
