I have the opportunity to buy a nickel plated 3rd generation Colt SAA .45, with factory ivory grips, with an extra .45 ACP cylinder. It has a 4 3/4" barrel. This gun is NIB, and came this way straight from the factory in the early 80s. Can anyone tell me how much this piece is actually worth? Thanks for your help.

Mr. Starkwell:

I'm not sure of the exact monetary value of such a gun; however, I'd like to see a photo of it when you get it. I can tell by your post that you will get it. It's just a matter of when.

V.S., if Billy Broadbutt has X dollars in the bank and he finds a nickle-plated Colt SAA revolver with a 4 5/8th's inch barrel, with two cylinders and factory ivory grips and he doesn't spend whatever it takes, up to X-1$, I admire his willpower and I'd vote for him for something.

Virgil S., I'll go out on a limb for you; I've seen a few of those at various times/shows. If you can get that item for $1,500. -'er less-, you are OK. Hope this helps you............
