Lots of fun with the Colt single action and other firearms. Me and my 10 yr old broke in his new Henry goldenboy and accompanied it with some single actions and the 50 BMG. Freezing cold but lots of fun. Ground frozen solid and shooting light loads out of the .45 LC. Almost every round we could see and hear it rolling across the pasture and crashing into the trees after passing thru the pumpkins. Never had that happen before.
Pic with knife in it is 4 rds from 50 BMG at 600 yds. The other pumpkins were him at 20-100 ft with the .22’s and 45’s. 52B0170E-0CD6-44F8-BE22-98D7C86A6EF4.jpeg 8ED7D91D-CC16-4847-8164-6B33F6D87B8D.jpeg 19502601-04EB-490D-AF4B-764C1AA8B7CB.jpeg 914D9B9E-EF19-45F9-8A25-13CAA6AFF741.jpeg

What a BLAST . Pun intended . I do the same when my wife wants to get rid of some Christmas ornaments . I hang them in a tree with the hooks , and blast away .

That pumpkin took four hits from a .50 BMG and is still in one piece? That's one badass punkin!

Such a fine time with your son! A Golden Boy and a Colt to shoot, that is one fortunate young fellow!

Our sons started shooting early in life too. Expired canned goods--the boys now at +/-30 years old, still call them "easy open cans." And still enjoy opening them ballistically.

Why didn't the engraved USFA revolver show up on the truck's loading gate?
On the tailgate? It was two different shooting sessions. First session had the usfa (has our three working brands along with neighboring ranch brands engraved) the uberti 12/22 and the Cobb 50 BMG. Second session later in the day the consecutive Colt saa’s The Henry and the uberti 12/22 again. We both had lots of fun. We try to shoot a little each week. Sometimes only a cylinder or two, other times a few hundred rounds. He is a very good shot!
