This Python just sold... It was from the Tom Haas collection... ($4,600.00) not to bad...

I've always wondered why guns are profusely engraved right down to the side plate screws and the lower area of the cylinder release, but they hardly ever do anything to the hammer and trigger.

It often looks like they "forgot" and these parts tend to look unfinished compared to the rest of the gun.

Great observation... I have referenced a number of archived pics and you are correct... Like I would have doubted you anyway...
