I am trying to do a favor for the wife of a friend.
She is "disposing" of his gun collection and I volunteered to handle the sales
Most of the guns are "Black" modern stuff that I can value and sell, no problem.
Then there is this.....PYTHON with a letter from Colt.
The gun was shipped to the original dealer in February of 1976 and is described as a 357 Magnum 4" Royal Blue.
As you can see from the pics, it has been "plated" and engraved (not by Colt evidently)
The engraving is very well done and the gun is in excellent condition, I don't think he fired it more that a few times.
Can someone let me know the value of this gun as I want to get her the most that I can for it
I appreciate your help.
Daniel

IMHO in many eyes it will be worth the same as a standard model or even less as it's not factory and many will view it as a detraction. I think it would be worth around 1500 or so but could be worth more to the right person who loves it enough to pay a higher price to have it. Hope it helps

I don't think most Colt collectors would care for it. Who knows what someone else might pay. Maybe your best bet is simply put it in an auction, such as Gunauction.
