I'm looking at buying a couple speed loaders for my python. Any recommendations? Brands to buy or stay away from...Thanks

Hello, HKS, and Safariland have been around for years. I have both brands for my S&W's. Some prefer HKS. I prefer Safariland, but that's just me. Don't have experience with the other brands.

i just ordered some safariland compII from amazon and they should be here by wednesday. i've used hks before but i think the push of the safari vs the turn of the hks just makes more sense.

I carried a 4 inch Python for 15 years till we went to automatics. I vote with the HKS type along with the Bianchi speed strips, just in case you only need 2 or 3 rounds. Dennis

Check out the Buffer Tech line, fast, durable, somewhat expensive.

I always carried HKS on the job, and still have them for all of my revolvers. I also have some speed strips that i carry from time to time. I like that you have to turn the knob to get the rounds to release. Early in my career I have seen other officers drop their push type loaders, and release rounds all over the gorund. The HKS there are no accidental release of the rounds. JMHO. I do use full moom clips for my 325 in .45ACP I really like them. It is fast to reload, and the rounds are secured.
