Once Colt started to put out the Stainless models in late 82', was nickel still available? How long after did they run? Did they ever use the serated cylinder release latch on a nickel Python? Sorry, lots of questions...

KJ They did overlap for awhile but I'm not an expert. I know I seen a diamondback in nickel that was made in 86.

I have seen serrated nickel release latches also. The serrations are not a 100% guarantee of stainless

The first stainless steel Pythons started shipping in late 1982.
The bright nickel Python was discontinued in 1985.
