I just bought my first Python (4", Nickel, c. '83) and am actively searching for more. I wanted to know if Colt will inspect, repair or replace any bad parts and refinish any of the 20+ year old Pythons that I locate? Are there any price lists for their services if they are available on older guns?

You can find a fair amount of info on refinishing on Colt's web site: http://www.colt.com

Like most gun companies, they will check out your gun, and send you an estimate before doing any work, unless it's a warranty item.

Colt does warn that during re-blue some lettering may be blurred out slightly, especially on the older guns that weren't roll marked very deeply, but this is rarely a problem in my experience.

As always, Colt does high-quality repairs and refinishing of Colt guns.
