Should there be any play in the cylinder once it's locked up?

I have a tiny bit of wiggle. If I had to guess maybe 1/2 a mm in either direction.

There is a little bit with the hammer back and the bolt in the notch,but very little. With the trigger pulled AND held back,there is ZERO play.

You were exactly right. Pulled trigger all the way back, thumb on hammer and zero cylinder play. Thx
