On the Colt Officers Model Match .22 is the muzzle in the white or blued? All through the years, was it the same or were some years white and some years blued? Thanks.. RRM

Early guns have a white muzzle, and a flat rounded rear sight.
Has anybody ever discovered the time frame of these guns getting "in the white" muzzles?

The early 3-5-7's had them, and now the OMM is said to have it. Does anybody know what all models were produced this way, along with the time frame? Perhaps it was done from '48-'54 like the dual tone finish.

That would be good info to know.

The muzzle of my dual tone 1950 Officers Model Special is in the white.
