Thought you guys might find this interesting. Short lived competitor to the Woodsman from Eugene Reising, who also worked on the 1911. Less than 5000 made between 1921 and 1924.
I studied them when I tried to win a couple the past few years. Very interesting for sure, and the guy's history too.
On the cracking, sounds similar to a lot of High Standards .22s, they crack if Hi Velocity is used.
