I'm curious to know what folks are using for mild hand load for target shooting in .38 caliber and .357

I load my own for cowboy shooting in .45 long colt, so I have a basic understanding of powder, primers and pills.

Many thanks.

For light target loads I reload Mid-range wadcutter equivalants (146 grain Double end wadcutters over light charges of Bullseye). Extremely low recoil and quite accurate. My Mark III loves them.
For a bit more bark I load 158 grain SWC's over modest charges of hodgdon Clays.

I've been using 4.0 grains of Bullseye under Rainier Ballistics 125 gr. bullets (lightly crimped) with CCI small pistol primers. I use the same load in .38 and .357 cases. Very mild recoil in the heavy framed Troopers and Pythons.

That sounds like a good recipie to me too.
I really like the ranier bullets for light loads especially with Clays powder. I find a lot less soot and ash. Basically they shoot VERY clean in my revolvers.
