Would any of you be able to help me approximate the year of manufacture? Serial number 302,XXX. 5 1/2", nickle, 38 WCF.

You may be even more surprised when you find out what it's worth.

DEPENDING on actual condition, these older SAA's can be worth a considerable amount of money.

IF it's in original condition (barrel hasn't been replaced, etc) and it's in at least 50% ORIGINAL condition, it could be worth around $4000.

Collectors believe the Colt SAA's built during the 1896 to 1908 period MAY be the finest ever made by Colt.
