I'm under the impression that it is a fairly rare gun. I first heard about it when Colt and Winchester announced the 9x23 cartridge, but two or three years later and still no guns. Colt apparently did make the Combat Target in .45 and 9x23, but only in small numbers; I've seen one or two. It has essentially the same relationship to the Gold Cup that the M1991A1 has to the Government Model, in that it has most of the same features in a less finely finished, cheaper package. I doubt that any hand fitting was done on that model, its adjustable sight being the extent of its "target" abilities.
