Are these original type correct grips on this Shooting Master for sale on AA? I thought they were a lot fancier on the other one's I've seen....

They look like the stocks on ours. That Shooting Master looks a tad rough in my opinion for that price. Bluing looks thin on the side plates. Looks like slight rust damage has been cleaned up overall.

those stocks will ONLY fit the shooting master,notice the slight rounding at the butt.dont know if they came on that gun but the had to come on a s/m. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The pictured stocks are the correct style and have the correct style screw, but I suspect they may not be original to the gun they are now on. They look too "new" and too light in color, but may have just been cleaned too thoroughly.

Yea....the light color and new look is one of the things that threw me off. The metal work on the gun looks aged and shows finish issues but the grips look like they just came out of the factory with not a blemish on them. The light color also seems to point toward some sort of refinish. Is there any chance these could be "new" grips which were built just recently in someones shop or garage? With the price of original grips getting the prices they do some enterprising person could make a few bucks building these things from scratch...do you know if that is happening these days?

By the way, these are the grips that I thought came with a Shooting Master. I assume these are NOT correct??

I agree with Judge Colt, the grips have been cleaned to death, but are original. It's a nice Shooting Master, but again, I don't think its worth that price. I paid less for mine not to long ago, and it's about perfect.

Nice old gun though, with just honest wear for its age. I would like to think, kinda like ME! Heh Heh.

the target grips in the photo appear to be ropers, while not original they are a sought after collectors item.
