I have had this 1860 Colt .44 Thuer Conversion for probably 25 years. It is rough and could use restoration. The serial no. 187767 is in the correct range. Most of this model were sold overseas and are rare here.

Nice! I stumbled into conversions, and I only have one so far, a Richard's Transition "2nd Model" and would LOVE a Thuer some day. Yours looks great.

I guess no other member has one? I'm pretty sure former former (deceased) member Robert McCory had one but I'm not positive. I know where there's one in .44 for sale, but it's rougher than rough. Been for sale for years. Just waiting for the price to drop some more before i snatch it up.

I've never owned a Thuer revolver, but some years ago I did have a couple of the cartridges in my collection. I sold the last one (a 28 caliber) a year or so ago.

I once owned a mixed serial Model 1860 Thuer, all serials in the correct range. I still have some photos taken, and I will attach them.
