Single Action Grips

I think these are the last of the grips I acquired-

This pair appear to be pearl single action grips. Unfortunately, there is a bit of chipping at the upper, forward corner of each panel.

These appear to be original first generation hard, rubber grips.

These also appear to be Colt hard rubber grips.

And there's this set of broken hard rubber grips. Do people repair these?

Then there is this nice one, but only the left hand side is in the box.

These more modern looking molded plastic grips are marked Colt single action and have a silver Colt medallion but I have no idea what they came on.

There is a single right hand side, plastic imitation pearl panel

Last there was this single grip which looks to be for a Colt New Service - at least it's the same size as the grips on my 38 Shooting Master.

If I've misidentified any of these please let me know.

thanks,

Randy

I am sure there are Forum members who could find uses for most of those if you offer them for sale.

Good score. That checkered black pair with medallions is interesting and marked C-SAA/Colt. Never seen them before. Those pearls would look nice on a nickel six shooter. Will have to find one if you don't have?
Offering Colt grips for sale is fairly difficult for me given I'm not particularly knowledgeable of single actions because they're difficult to describe and price when I'm not altogether certain what they are. I'm highly motivated to avoid inaccurately describing anything I offer to sell. For example, I did some research on the web but one found one picture similar to the black plastic grips with the silver colored medallion and the image didn't say for what gun they were produced. In searching Gunbroker and eBay few original Bisley grips have been sold and asking prices are all over the place. Pearl single action grips are expensive but the ones I have are chipped. No clue what a fair price would be. I sell Martini action parts, old scopes and other items on eBay, Gunbroker and some years ago at gun shows, but haven't ever tried to sell items on a forum like this. I probably will put some of the grips up for sale here when I'm a bit more comfortable with the process.

thanks for asking,

Randy

I don't have a single action to put the pearl grips on as the few original single actions I have are blued.

thanks,

Randy

I think pearl grips look purdy on blued guns:

Randy,

Those above did not come on a Colt; they're not Colt grips. They're after market grips made to fit the Colt SAA and sold with Colt medallion copies installed. Could have been produced anytime in the last 1/2 century.

Black grips are franzite grips i think. I would be interested to buy the pearl grips. :)

I'm contemplating putting them on Gunbroker but I don't ship internationally.

Posted some of the grips in the for sale section

I just bought a pair of Franzite grips cast exactly like these off eBay. Except they are ivory yellow and have Franzite medallion and have Franzite emblem cast in on inside above COLT where your's has a blurred area. Paid $12.95 + 3.50 shipping .

They didn't come on any gun, they're after market grips that came in a box and are just made to fit Colt SAAs., hence why they're marked COLT. The C-SAA is undoubtedly the manufacturer's part #. You too can buy Colt medallions and replace the Franzite medallions with them.
