Wow, that end label looks like a 9 year old faked it. 1625? Maybe there is gold inside the box cause that Colt sure ain't worth that much.

the seller is a moderator on that forum, i think he should stick to ar-15s. either that or it looks like another scam. label is obviously faked and it might be the wrong era box too. it's hard to tell from that side pic.

Here is what the box should look like for that year....


Not a 2 piece styrofoam in a paper sleeve with a bogus label.
The grips should probably have some two tone in them also....

Yeahhh... he should throw that 'box' away and save himself the embarassment and save others the tyrouble of feeling embarassed for him.

I've been a member of AR-15.com since 2002. I won't contact the seller either. If I was thinking of buying it, maybe. I don't need the aggravation if the guy cops an attitude.
Other than the box it's a nice gun. I'd really like to have a 1952 Commander.

Oh, I wasnt sayin call him to the carpet, perhaps he is as colt unaware as I am AR unaware. I guess its like havin a nose "whistler", everyone can see it but nobody wants to say:)
