I presume you want to "chase" or renew the threads. Is this for the various screw holes or for the frame, where the barrel screws in?

Here's the barrel thread specs:

Old style threads as used on all pre-Mark III "J" frame guns.
This includes all Pre-War Colt's and the "E & I" frame guns.
I can't find my spec sheet, but I "think" this is the same thread used on ALL "D" "E & I" Colt revolvers.

Barrel threads: .5634-32

New style threads as used on recent production Python's AND on the Trooper Mark III/King Cobra, including all "J" "V" and "AA" frames.

Barrel threads: .562-36

Use 6-flute finish taps to chase the threads.

THANK´S.

YES SR. it is for the frame, where the barrel screws in (tap).

Example: if i need to do it for the S&W K frame, i will ned the .540"-36 threads tap. And /or 1" diameter die (barrel threads).

Brownells sell this tool with the specifications for Colt Single Action guns, S&W, (J, K, L or N frames), etc,.

But i can not find the specifications for Colt double action Frames (D, E, and I )

If you would help me, ¬° do it, please !
