I agree, they are very interesting. I suspect the holes are for a missing letter. Also I think the material is pewter but I could be wrong. I kinda like those. They're not as detailed as Sid Bell's work, but they do have an Americana type look to them, a folk art style. I didn't see anything. The grips appeared to be aluminum. The gold components did test to be gold of some sort. They were having a hard time getting it to react the same each time to the test fluids.I kinda like those.
