I bought a Detective Special that needed some work. It had excessive endshake. I sent it back to Colt. They told me that it should take 35 business days after my payment to get the gun back. I paid by credit card over the phone. Last night I was counting the days that had elapsed and hoping I would really see the gun in the 35 days. Today, eight days after I paid for the repair FedEx delivered the gun back to me.

I haven't shot the gun yet but it appears that the repair was done properly. Certainly getting the gun back in such a short time represents excellent customer service.

BTW, they charged $52 + shipping to repair the endshake and adjust the timing.

I will happily use the Colt factory service in the future for any repair work.
