The bolt/trigger spring?

Wasn't trying to be rude, but I purposely ignored the leather washer comment. Never seen it done under the sear/bolt spring.
Quite a few years ago I bought what was supposed to be a NIB 5 1/2" CCH/Blue .357 Magnum, including the box, foam insert, hang tags on the gun and all the assorted paperwork. The action was amazingly smooth and light. The trigger was scary light. The gun appeared to be unfired outside the factory. The counter guy said it may have been worked on but it came directly from their distributor.

I shot it quite a bit and and then it went in the safe. A couple of years ago I pulled it out and decided it needed shot. It was like I remembered until it wasn't. After a few cylinders, the sear would not catch on half-cock occasionally and wouldn't catch on full cock sometimes.
When I got home and took it apart, I discovered an oil-soaked leather washer under the mainspring and a mushy rubber washer under the bolt-trigger spring. Both washers were removed and like magic, it felt like a 3rd Gen Colt should feel.
