Mine's the Cavalry version, but I had Dave Lanara turn it into the 5 1/2" barrel 'Artillery' version.
As far as the nickel ones go, I think I remember the number 2002 kicked around, but I'm not sure. And Dogface6, you must show us that gun.Wyatt: any idea how many were made in each caliber? I've never seen one locally.
Great set of sixguns! Here's mine in the "leather" box.View attachment 51220 View attachment 51221 View attachment 51222 View attachment 51223
Here are both the Cavalry and Frontier Six Shooter models. I was fortunate to pick of the boxed pair a few years ago. The pairs have matched S/Ns that are different from the un-paired runs. Wyatt, I just looked again and noticed yours has after market pearl grips. Cool!
Yes it does they are plumb ruined . I`ll give you $100.00 each for them.
Very nice! Engraved and one-piece ivories! Did they come that way from Colt?
I don't know about the ivories; the engraving in non-factory. This set is currently available from Cherry's for 9K if anyone is interested. I have no connection to these fine Colts other than admiration.Very nice! Engraved and one-piece ivories! Did they come that way from Colt?
