Is the "leatherette" box the only correct one for that decade or could it be the woodgrain cardboard also?

According to Sheldon "Colt's Super .38", the Leatherette hinged box (Style II) was used from late 1948 until late 1955. The 2 piece woodgrain telescopic box (Style III) was used from late 1955 until 1967. He made no mention of the Kraft style box mentioned by cxm357.

"Kraft" style boxes are widely believed to have been used with many government contracts and not retail sales.
