This does not look like Silver Plating to me.

But, does look like Nickel.

'Hamless' ( with one 'm' anyway ) is an appropriate Orthodox practice, for the Dietary observations of at least a couple major Religions.

'Hammless' is less certain.

I do not know about a refinish, there is not detailed enough pics for me to make that call. I have a 1908 nickel that is about 95% or so. The lines still look pretty crisp on that from the poor pictures. Every one of these that I have seen that was refinished nickel had terrible pitting under the finish and very light markings. I could be wrong but that happens all the time

Strange thing is, as best as my eyes work, it doesn't look refinish. The seriel on the side sure is clean and crisp, and the Chrome/silver/nickel is in excellent condition, for a gun of it's age. It really is pretty, (not 1700 pretty, but pretty)

Jack Brickhouse calling the play by play...Hamms commercials "From the Land of Sky Blue Water" .....my grandpa took me to my first game when I was 4, got a glove, hat and pennant and sat behind the dugout of the Cubs (third base side). I've been cursed ever since to being a Cubs fan no matter where I've hung my hat. I was a bleacher bum every chance I got. Good times, great fans and one of the best ballparks to watch a ballgame. I've digressed...the Colt in question is nickel as you can tell by the yellow tint near the stock panels (how's that for a save Mitch?) :)

I was just there a few weeks ago and vaguely remember seeing this. Pretty nice place, but they should know better about the listing.

Now if you want a full auto Ma Deuce they can hook you up...
