1)I like your taste in big tubes! Nice!

2)Although I can't compete with your neat T-Bucket, I do have some big tubes too(In my 502 cubic inch Rat powered 1969 El Camino!):

Nice 502 Camino. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
I love the wheels too.
Those damn 5 spokes look good on just about everything.
I had them on a few of my previous rides.
Including my '64 Galaxie. I use the word, had because she now runs wild up in Jersey.

Hi Jeff, Nice Galaxie. I had a '63 a few years back that I sold in 1992. At that time it only had 8,800 miles on it ! That's not a misprint. It was my second Galaxie, I also had a '67. Nice cars, your picture brought back some memories, thanks, Shoo

Jeff, That's something in my opinion, that you don't see enough of these days, real spoke wheels on a Hotrod. You gotta love it. Great looking El Camino Colt 38.

Jeff:

1)Your 1964 Ford Galaxie was a real beauty! Was the paint original or had it been repainted to the original color?

2)It's a small world! My first love were Ford Galaxies in the 1960's! In fact, I liked the hot ones! My first Galaxie, was a new 1962 Ford 390 High Performance, Tri-Power(401HP)in white. Next was an Rangoon Red, 1962 Galaxie, with the 406 Tri-Power(405HP)engine. Then came an black 1963 Galaxie Fastback with the dual four barrel 427(425HP)engine. Last, was an black 1964 Galaxie(Fastback)with an 390 Police Interceptor(330HP, solid lifter engine)and a heavy Duty Automatic! I was hot to obtain one of the very first 1964 Ford Fairlane Thunderbolts(But, my daddy said no-because he thought that I was too young to pilot a cannon like a T-Bolt! Of course, I thought that he was wrong at the the time!)! Those were the good old days!

The same buddy that bought my Galaxie 2 years ago is now buying this little gem.
He buys a car from me every time I put one up. About every 2 years.
When he saw the Roadster, he was all smiles. His MRS already contacted me and told me that the roadster was awesome, but her hubby will not be buying that one in 2 years. LOL

Great ! First the Galaxie talk, and now a picture of an Impala SS ! Had to sell my '67 Impala SS due to my freakin' divorce 7 years ago ! Oh well, at least my CURRENT wife lets me buy some guns and we have a '94 Mustang GT Convertible in the garage that she lets me drive once in awhile. Miss dearly my quickest car though. she was a '63 Corvette Roadster, black soft top and black removable hard top, black with red interior, 4-speed, and for motor-vation she had a 435 horsepower 427 cubic inch big block out of a '67 Corvette. Those were the days, cheap women and cheap gas. Thanks for the memories. Think I'll just go polish my guns now..... Shoo

I'm getting addicted already to all of the nice nova's, Corvette's, Chevelle's. and that nostalgic 1962 SS409 Red Converable! I also owned a white, 1964 SS409 Impala(425HP)!

A Short Story: I was only 15 years old in 1962. The family took a trip to New Mexico! I had it in my mind that I wanted to get either a 1962 406 Ford Galaxie or an 1962 SS409? Low and behold, my rich cousin in New Mexico(18 at the time)had just been given a white 1962 SS409 for his High School graduation! My cousin took me far away into the desert heading toward a baseball game that he was going to be playing in. Then, something unexpected happened! I looked in the rear view mirror and I saw a speeding car coming towards the rear of my cousin's SS409! At first, it looked to be just a mirage in the desert? Then(Like a bullet)this white, 1962 Galaxie 406 flew by us like we we standing still! My cousin said let's catch that 406 and show him what an SS409 is made of! I was thrilled! This was a race made for me! Well, we caught that Ford(And waved him over)! There were no other cars to be seen out in this New Mexico desert! We challenged this 406 Ford to a drag race! He agreed! Both cars lined up and started from a slow roll and bam, I heard my cousin's SS409 winding up and he was power shifting every gear! Wow I thought, as I was concentrating on his tachometer! Then I looked ahead and that 406 was already ahead by two car lengths before we got out of second gear! I couldn't believe my eyes! That 406 was a real screamer and by the time we had covered a good quarter mile he had frankly, just blown my cousin's SS409 in the weeds! That 406 just ate his SS409 alive! Then my cousin made a bunch of excuses defending his SS$09 and told that guy in the 406, "Let's run em again! We did-but, disappointingly, the SS409 fell to the wayside being beaten even worse than before! My cousin was a Chevy freak and he just couldn't get over the fact that his SS409 got stomped(By a dang Ford!)? Sad but, very true! I never forgot that exciting day! From then on I had become a Ford Hi Performance Galaxie fein! But, I still loved an SS409 too! They were also neat cars!
