Thoughts on the black box for this 2nd Gen?

No pictures of the bottom of the box. I think box is fake.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I think the box is original. If I were interested in buying the gun, I would ask the seller for photos of the inside bottom and outside bottom of the box, though.
However, the label may be a fake. I just don't know about that. It could have been added later.

It's possible that it's all original, The Location of the Seller, Tubac, Arizona/Green Valley is known for it's wealthier residents owning prestigious collectables. BUT excellent advice being offered, as the seller doesn't tell you much with all that write up. Not my Caliber so I won't be bidding...
I'm no expert on Colt boxes (and have little interest in them), but I'd vote likely fake; the somewhat miraculously pristine inside and outside condition of the box doesn't match the somewhat tattered condition of the label.

Best regards,
These replica boxes are available in AZ, look great and measure perfectly. A guy comes into the LGS about once month and takes orders. Last price I heard was $280-$380. This is an info only response. I have no interest in them nor do I want to participate in any form of buying assistance.
I am not an expert on boxes and labels, but the two small "tears" on the bottom of the label appear to done with a knife to make the tear. The two are very similar in appearance. Also, the way the tears are shown, some type item would have "accidenatlly" made the teat and nothing is shown on the box paper.

The left edges of the label appear to be old, but again, there is no indication on the box of this type handling.

My opinion - Box and Label are Fake!
Time ages the outer and inner box materials that the eye recognizes but we dont always know how to completely describe it. The paper inside of most boxes make it easier to see time aging. Those black fake boxes for all the Aces, PPs , etc on eBay that have pristine labels and outer box has a new purplish sheen are obviously brand new and fool no one who has seen an original. The box material in question just hasn't aged enough for me to vote real. I don't mean wear and tear.. I mean I don't have anything from that decade that hasnt aged just sitting still. It doesn't reflect light the same way as new. An example like this one is harder to tell and inside and bottom photos might help us to be sure.

I requested additional pictures of the box. So far the seller has not responded.

Well there ya go.
However, repro boxes are going for $200-$300, so if anything it enhances the value there.
I don't like the looks of the box or the label. I believe they are repros.

Also, anyone who has handled a few guns can see that SAA has been fired and, while nice, is not mint.
The white showing of the two bottom tears tells me that is fresh paper. If it was yellow and more brittle, that might move me

Good observation.
On my older Black Boxed SAA's, the serial number is grease-penciled in on the bottom and the place on the gold label for SN is usually blank. I suppose that a gun shop or hardware store back in the 1950's-60's could have 'penciled-in' the SN on the label. Without more pictures being supplied, I would vote 'reproduction.'
Finally received a picture that I am posting here for future reference. Looks like a reproduction to me...

At least he could have scuffed up the bottom a little bit more, he's not even trying very hard.
Tell the seller he should use grease pencil, Not a white crayon
The numbers were never that large on the bottom. And as Rusty said, it looks like a crayon marking.
