Hey guys, what are your thoughts on this listing:

Colt Python .357 Magnum 6" Satin Stainless 1984 : Revolvers at GunBroker.com

It ended without any bids. Do you think it's because it was priced too highly (if it, how much would a Python in this condition go for)? Or is there something else I'm missing?

Thanks for the input...that's kind of what I figured was the issue but wasn't sure. Do you know how much it would normally go for without the box?

GA has this listed (with a box):

which seems like an awesome looking Python, but seems really expensive even though it has a box.

Just trying to gauge how much Pythons should go for...looking to buy one as my first gun (that I will shoot at the range). But I don't want to make the wrong call on it / spend way too much as I'm still learning what to look out for.

Not that they cost a lot but it also has had the grips replaced. He might be able to get that price but he would have to start his auction lower and with no reserve. No reserve auctions seem to get the best prices.

Hah, totally missed that the grips were replaced. And also, from pics of other Pythons, the front sight usually has a red mark on it, but this one doesn't. Maybe that was replaced too? Or did Colt make Pythons with all black front sights?

Without the original grips I would think it should be more like maybe $1900 but its been over a year since I bought one.
