They are sweet There was another one ,not a buy now ,but no bids. 99% .made 1947 ,with tattered box ,tools ,test target ,and Colt factory letter. A prewar ,post war transition revolver, a piece of history. I want one to shoot so I passed on that one. I thought I was done for awhile, but wouldn't mind a 4 incher.

My 6 inch 38 OP dates to 36. I had it Colt reblued . looks new . Was a worn but tight shooter. Colt re engraved letters, replaced all springs ,and it always attracts a crowd when I take it out. these revolvers are immortal soldiers of gun history.

I know these were made as service grade working revolvers, but what great pieces of workmanship. Amazingly there were no bids at $585, I e mailed the owner to ask about ffl shipping. Next thing I know the auction was over, so i e mailed him to ask if he was going to relist. Told him I was interested ,and would he consider a buy now ,said he would relist with buy now for 10 dollars more. Nearly put my finger through the keyboard when it popped back up. Whew,a close one.
