This gun's backstrap was hidden under a set of Pachmayrs from the day that I bought it from a retiring DEA agent, and the scars never bothered me. Today I changed grips to a NOS set of Herretts that show the backstap, scars and all, and its pretty ugly!
What is the best way to touch up this non-steel frame? Is it aluminum, and will 'Birchwood-Casey Aluminum Black' do the job? If not aluminim, is there an easy option for whatever alloy it is?
Thank you in advance for your advice.
