Trooper Mk lll 8\"

Yesterday at a gunshow there were two Trooper Mk lll's with 8" barrels. They were with 2 seperate dealers. One was priced at $499 and the other at $599. These prices seemed out of line to me. I am wondering if, indeed as both dealers impllied, that the 8" guns are very rare in the Mk lll series?

Thanks,
Tom

While the Trooper Mark III with the 8" barrel isn't rare, there were fewer made than of the 4" or 6", simply because they were less popular with buyers.

I paid $425 for a like new .22lr 8" Trooper MkIII early this year. You just don't see many of them so it wasn't a bad deal IMO.

Re: Trooper Mk lll 8\"

Thanks guys,
I took a look at the Blue Book and saw that there was no premium listed for the 8" barrels. I walked on those $500 and $600 prices. Majic, $425 for the condition of these two guns would have had me thinking a little more. That for a nice gun might have done it. Thanks again.
