Those of us who love the Trooper MK lll are aware of Karl Lewis' contributions to that design. It would seem that either he or someone on the design team at Colt were aware of the 1896 Iver Johnson revolver. Look familiar? The red is the transfer bar, and notice the coil mainspring, adjustable tension no less.

:):)Yes, sir!!!...., it might be so, so it seems to me!!!!! Nice contribution!!!, if anybody else has some more historical information it will contribute to our knowledge on Colt revolvers!!:):)

That is a really clean looking MK lll. Wish mine was as low mileage as that one! These revolvers are built like tanks, and are superbly accurate as you well know. While not as pretty as yours, I take mine with me every trip to the range. It groups every bit as well as my Dan Wesson.
