I friend of mine want to know the year of production of his trooper .38 Spl.
The serial number is 9081xx G.

Looks like late 1954, a fairly early one! The "B" is most likely an inspectors/assemblers "mark". Hope this helps.

Yes, I agree: probably late 1954. the 1955's did not start until #908801. From the photographs, it looks to be in fairly decent shape.
