I just returned from Rock Island Auction where I was able to pick up a couple of new pockets that were missing from my collection. Both were high condition nickel guns.

The first is a 2 1/2" that was in the box with the original shooting suggestions, hang tag and cleaning brush. Mfg. 1894.

This is a 6" nickel New Pocket and the only one that I have encountered. Mfg. 1903

Beautiful, indeed! Am I the only wondering just what sort of madness goes through peoples' minds when they part with sparkling treasures like these? :bang_wall:

Thank you for taking the time to share these wonderful old Colts. It is just amazing to see these 100+ year old revolvers in such pristine condition. Finding these treasurers must be gratifying beyond words! Congratulations and thank you again for the great photos.

Very best of luck!

Cam, Nice pickup of some desirable pieces.

Was that Engraved Officer's Model as nice as it looked in the catalog?--- I wonder why no letter on it.
First I would like to thank all who posted, I appreciate all the very nice comments. I have been looking for these two longer than I care to admit. It is ironic that they both showed up in the same auction.

Rusty. The engraved 7 1/2" OMT was indeed one of the best that I have had the pleasure of viewing. The engraving was above and beyond. I didn't bid on it as I needed to keep my wallet fat for bidding on these two. I had made up my mind to bid to the moon if necessary. As it turned out they were not to bad in price.
