Edit; Found my answer on youtube video. Like to tinker with old guns, so bought this old 38 Colt and the tip of the hammer is broke off. Bought a used hammer for it and started to disassemble, got the side plate, cylinder off. So how to finish removing the hammer? Is there a certain order to be followed, or is there a book with dissasembly instructions. Retired machanist so I am mechanically inclined, but don't want to mess this up. S N 838, but the old gun locks up tight and other than some rust and broken hammer can be a shooter again. Also have a 1884 model in 41 cal that I shoot.
