Looking through my photo library brought these up. Taken in the Uberti factory in 2005.

One of these bars is fed into a CNC machine....

...and every eight minutes one of these pops out.

Pretty cool! Also interesting to see in the YouTube video that the frames are indeed forged, not cast as some have said.
Cool! From your post I presume you took the shots at the factory yourself. Maybe you can settle something for me; the pronunciation of the name Uberti. I've heard people say it as, 'you-birdy'. But I heard it said on a TV show highlighting Colt replicas as, 'oo-berdy'.

Either way they make some really nice firearms, especially for their price points.

ooh-BEAR-tee...

PS: Forgot to note that Maria Uberti told me this was a correct pronounciation of their last name when I was presented with an engraved SAA 367MAG as a thank you from her father.

I guess the Italians would say 'ooberty' while the rest of use pronounce it 'youberty', with a soft 't' rather than the 'd' as in your post, Colt-SL.

I have a few more photos of this trip including the Armi Sport/Chiappa factory and Pedersoli. If you'd like me to start a new photo thread I will do so.
